Definition: Under limited supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, the Instructional Technology Professional Development (PD) Coordinator provides leadership and coordination in the professional development of staff related to the integration of technology with new curriculum initiatives. This position is responsible for training educators on the effective use of technology tools and resources that support the delivery of the curriculum, ensuring that staff are equipped to utilize technology for enhanced teaching and learning.

Education and experience:
Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that would allow the candidate to satisfactorily perform the duties of this position, will be considered.
Underfill Eligibility: An enrolled Community Member whom closely qualifies for the minimum qualifications for a position may be considered for employment under SRPMIC Policy 2-19, Underfill.
Terms of Employment: This position is treated as a full-time exempt position scheduled for 40 hours per week.

Curriculum and Technology Integration
- Maintains a close working relationship with Site Administrators and Academic Services (e.g., Teaching & Learning, Language and Culture, Exceptional Student Services, Data Services, Intervention Services, etc.), Tribal IT, and assists with integrating and using educational technologies across all classrooms and departments.
- Collaborate with curriculum development teams to align new curriculum initiatives with appropriate technology tools and resources.
- Assist teachers in effectively integrating technology into their instructional practices to support student achievement and curriculum goals.
- Research and evaluate educational technologies, software, and digital resources that align with curriculum standards and enhance teaching practices.
- Provide instructional leadership by guiding the development of digital content and strategies for integrating new curriculum with technology.
- Organize and lead workshops, training sessions, and webinars to educate staff on new curriculum and technology tools.
- Develop online resources and instructional guides for teachers to use in the integration of technology and curriculum.
- Monitor the successful implementation of new technology resources in classrooms and provide follow-up training as needed.
- Serve as a resource to staff for training on technology tools, software, and instructional strategies that enhance teaching and learning.
- Research and evaluate new software, hardware, and technology tools that can be integrated into the district's instructional programs.
- Work with vendors and service providers to ensure the availability and efficiency of district technology resources.
- Attend all trainings and meetings related to such systems to stay current with evolving state and federal regulations; formulate and facilitate the implementation of changes to current practices to align with changes to state and federal reporting requirements.
- Extract data from databases to produce statistics, reconcile internal data, submit reports, or provide data to staff conducting assessments, audits, and statistical tests of levels of service, academic outcomes, and student demographics. Maintain and organize staff and student information data collecting systems.
- Design and implement ongoing professional development programs to build staff expertise in curriculum-related technologies.
- Provide individualized and group training sessions based on the diverse needs of staff, ranging from basic technology use to advanced curriculum integration.
- Support teachers with differentiated instruction techniques using technology tools to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Develop a variety of professional learning opportunities, including in-person, virtual, and self-paced modules to accommodate different learning styles and schedules.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of professional development programs and adjust offerings based on feedback and observed needs.
- Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in instructional technology and curriculum integration.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to maintain and enhance department and district operations.
- Coordinate with external organizations, consultants, and vendors for specialized training and professional development opportunities.
- Stay current on educational technology trends and innovations that can support curriculum delivery and student learning outcomes

- General policies, procedures, and standards followed in the Education Division.
- Resources within and outside the Community that may be utilized.

- AZ Early Learning Standards, Head Start Performance Outcomes, and AZ Academic Standards.
- Adult learning concepts, principles, theories, and their applications to the professional development needs of the teaching faculty.
- Time management, project management skills, and balancing multiple priorities
- Program planning, development, implementation and evaluation.
- The design and delivery of training and development for school-based teams and departments.
- The use of innovative methodologies for efficient and effective delivery of training
- Develop and adapt best practices for application in a school-based work environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related or Education Instructional field. At least two (2) years in the field of education required.
- Previous experience in IT support, technology coordination, or related roles within an educational setting preferred.
- Previous K-12 teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of technology integration in K-12 educational environments.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools, software, and platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support staff at all levels.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up to date on emerging technologies.
