Under the supervision of the Fire Marshal in the Community Risk Reduction division conducts inspections on residential and commercial building projects on new andexisting facilities. Conducts acceptance tests of fire protection systems, fire cause and origin investigations, provides violation notices, inspection reports and maintains database. Assists as needed with fire code plan reviews and education programs, read blueprints, researches fire code violations and provide technical assistance for correction of identified violations.  This is treated as an FLSA non-exempt and considered a DRIVING position.
